My journey toward sustainability began in my early years I cherished playing outside, yet I was often dismayed to find trash in the sandbox, pondering why anyone would leave their waste behind. During middle school, National Geographic videos became an integral part of our curriculum, and one particular video about the islands of trash floating in ocean profoundly impacted me, igniting my passion for sustainability and waste management. Later, I had remarkable opportunity to travel to Nairobi, Kenya, where I participated in a service trip to build solar panels for rural villages without access to power. This transformative experience inspired me to establish reelectra, my take on bringing change into my community.
